How to Ride

Need a Ride? Your Feet Have Done Enough.

See a cab. Need a ride. Say hello. Beautifully low-tech.

How to Catch a Pedicab

Cincinnati is very walkable. Cincinnati is also very good at making you believe something is "only a few blocks away" right before those few blocks become an unexpectedly personal journey.

If you see Cincinnati Pedicab operating downtown, around the riverfront, in Over-the-Rhine, Covington, Newport or near major event activity, flag down a cab and ask for a ride. Public street rides are a real part of what we do. They are just not something we turn into an elaborate reservation system for one-off trips.

The easiest way to ride is exactly what it sounds like: find a Cincinnati Pedicab while we are out operating and talk to the driver. Tell them where you are headed, make sure the destination makes sense for the street conditions and operating area, and get clear on the price before the ride starts.

No surge-screen roulette. No watching a tiny car icon make three unexplained U-turns. Just a human being on a bike asking where you are trying to go.

Where You May Find Us

Cincinnati Pedicab operates across central Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, including downtown Cincinnati, the riverfront, Over-the-Rhine, Covington and Newport. Major sports, concerts, festivals, convention activity and busy downtown weekends are natural places for the fleet to be working.

That does not mean a cab is guaranteed to be sitting at a specific corner at a specific time. Pedicabs move. That is kind of the whole idea.

These are exactly when a pedicab can go from "that looks fun" to "where has this been all my life?" in about six blocks.

Street closures, crowds and event access can change where drivers are able to stage or travel, so the best pickup location may shift with the event. If you see a cab where you are, ask the driver what is practical.

Can I Reserve One for a Normal Ride?

For ordinary public rides, Cincinnati Pedicab is built primarily around street service rather than guaranteed advance reservations for one or two people. We would rather be clear about that than encourage a pile of "pick us up at the hotel at exactly 8:17" requests and then pretend downtown traffic has signed the same contract.

If you are planning transportation for a corporate group, convention, wedding, private event or organized outing, that is different. Those are planned programs, and we have dedicated pages for them.

Want Something More Planned?

If the ride is part of a larger experience, we can do more than point you toward the nearest street cab. Private tours can be built around downtown, the riverfront, the Purple People Bridge area, Covington, Newport and other practical Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky routes. Weddings, corporate groups and convention programs can also be planned in advance around the actual event.

Different problem. Different page. Consider us organized enough to know the difference.

Cincinnati + Northern Kentucky

Cincinnati

  • Downtown
  • The riverfront
  • Over-the-Rhine
  • Entertainment districts

Northern Kentucky

  • Covington
  • Newport
  • NKY Convention Center
  • Convention and event activity

Our operating footprint includes central Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. That means the river is part of the city experience, not the place where the map suddenly becomes somebody else's problem.

Whether you are headed toward downtown, the riverfront, Covington, Newport or nearby event activity, ask the driver what works from where you are. The practical route depends on traffic, closures, distance and what the streets are doing that day.

Before You Roll

Know where you want to go. Confirm the destination and price with the driver before the ride begins. Then sit back, enjoy the city and resist the urge to explain how you definitely could have walked it.

Public rides are the simplest part of Cincinnati Pedicab: if you see us out and need to get somewhere nearby, ask for a ride. Your feet have already contributed enough to the evening.

We believe you.
