Privacy Policy
What we collect when you send an inquiry, why we keep it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.
1. Who is responsible
Cincinnati Pedicab is a local pedicab operation serving Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington and Newport, Kentucky. It is operated by Philip Seidenberg and sits alongside the wider Move Mobile Media platform, which handles regional and multi-market campaign work.
Philip Seidenberg is the party responsible for personal information collected through this site. Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, that makes him the “data controller” for this site.

2. What we collect
Information you type into an inquiry form
Every planning page on this site ends in the same inquiry form. When you submit it we receive:
- Your name, and your company, agency or organization if you give one
- Your email address, and your phone number if you give one
- What you are planning, taken from the drop-down list on the form
- The event or timing you mention, and whatever you write in the message box
- Which page you sent the inquiry from, so we know what you were reading
Name and email are required because we cannot reply without them. Everything else is optional, and a sparse inquiry is still a useful one.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records technical details of each request in its server logs — your IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the site up and to investigate abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you.
Information we do not collect
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or heat-mapping on this site. There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no payment taken here. We do not ask for, and do not want, your payment card details, government ID or any special-category information such as health or religious data.
3. Why we use it
We use what you send us to answer your inquiry, quote the job, arrange the pedicabs and keep a record of what was agreed. We also keep enough of a record to run the business properly — recognising a repeat customer, handling a complaint, and meeting our tax and insurance obligations.
If the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, our legal bases are: performance of a contract or steps leading up to one, when we are quoting or arranging a ride or campaign; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and replying to business inquiries; consent for any non-essential cookies, which you give or withhold through the cookie banner; and legal obligation for records we are required to keep.
We will not use your inquiry to add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
4. Cookies and consent
This site sets nothing non-essential until you say yes. The only thing stored on your device by default is your own cookie choice, so we do not have to ask again on the next page. The Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored, and you can change your answer at any time.
5. Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as far as they need it:
| Who | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts the site and receives form submissions | Inquiry contents; request logs including IP address |
| Google Fonts | Serves the two typefaces the site is set in | Your IP address and browser, when the font files load |
| Email provider | Delivers inquiry notifications to us | Inquiry contents |
We may also share information with Move Mobile Media when your inquiry is larger than a Cincinnati job — a regional or multi-market campaign, for example — so that the right team can answer you. We will tell you when we do that.
Beyond that, we disclose information only where we are legally required to, or where we need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect someone’s safety.
6. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not turn into work: kept for up to two years, in case you come back, then deleted.
- Records of jobs we actually did: kept for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and insurance purposes — generally seven years.
- Server logs: kept on our host’s standard schedule, which is a matter of weeks, not years.
- Your cookie choice: stored on your own device until you clear it or change it.
You can ask us to delete your inquiry sooner. See below.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Email info@cincinnatipedicab.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, which usually means replying from the address you originally wrote in from.
If you are in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction with comprehensive privacy legislation, you also have the right to object to or restrict our processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it. You have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EU, the authority for your country. We would rather you came to us first so we can fix it.
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have comparable rights to know, delete, correct and opt out, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
8. We do not sell your data
We have never sold personal information and have no plans to. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Your inquiry is a business conversation, not inventory.
9. Children
This site is aimed at adults booking transportation and advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@cincinnatipedicab.com and we will delete it.
Children ride pedicabs with us regularly, of course — but a responsible adult books and rides with them, and that adult is the person whose details we hold.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Inquiries land in systems protected by access controls and strong authentication, and only the people who need to read them can. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
11. Visitors from outside the US
We operate in Ohio and Kentucky, and the service providers listed above are mostly US-based. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the US, where privacy law differs from your own. Where a transfer of EU or UK personal data is involved, we rely on our providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards. By sending us an inquiry you understand your information will be handled in the US.
12. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, start a mailing list, or change anything else material about how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the “last updated” date at the top. Significant changes to how we use cookies will reset the cookie banner so you get to answer again.
