Cookie Policy
Short version: one item remembers your answer. Nothing else runs unless you switch it on.
1. Our approach
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. Local storage does much the same job with a different mechanism. Both are covered by this policy, and we use the word “cookies” loosely below to mean either.
Our approach is opt-in. Nothing in a non-essential category loads or runs until you turn that category on in the banner. Rejecting everything non-essential costs you nothing: the site works identically, and we would rather have an honest visit than a tracked one.
2. What we actually store
As of the date at the top of this page, this is the complete list:
| Name | Type | What it does | Expires | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cp-consent |
Local storage | Remembers which cookie categories you allowed, so the banner does not ask again on every page | Until you clear it or change your choice | Strictly necessary |
That is genuinely it. One entry, stored on your device, holding your own answer. We cannot read it from our end — it never leaves your browser.
The inquiry forms are protected by a hidden honeypot field rather than a tracking script, so submitting an inquiry sets no cookie either. Our host, Netlify, records ordinary server logs for every request, including your IP address; that is described in the Privacy Policy and is not done with cookies.
3. Measurement and advertising
We currently run no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party tracking of any kind. The measurement and advertising toggles in the banner are therefore switched off and, at the moment, control nothing.
They exist because that will probably change. If we add a way of counting visits, or of telling whether a campaign link led to an inquiry, it will be wired behind those toggles from the first day — meaning it will not load at all for anyone who has not opted in. We will update the table above before anything new goes live, and material changes will reset the banner so you get asked again rather than being opted in by silence.
4. Google Fonts
We should be straight about one third-party request. This site is set in Archivo and Instrument Sans, which are served from Google’s font servers, fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Loading them sets no cookies and does not track you across sites, so it is not gated behind the consent banner.
It does, however, mean your browser makes a request to Google, and Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to answer it. If that matters to you, a content blocker will stop it and the site will fall back to fonts already on your device; it will look plainer but work the same. We are looking at serving the font files from our own domain so the request stops being third-party at all.
5. Change your choice
You can change your mind whenever you like. Your answer is not final and we do not re-ask to wear you down.
There is also a Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent for a category, we save the change and reload the page, so that anything already running in that category stops rather than lingering until you navigate.
6. Browser controls
Independently of our banner, your browser can block or delete cookies and local storage for this site or for every site. Look under privacy or site-data settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Clearing site data for this domain removes cp-consent along with everything else, which means the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it is satisfied here by default rather than by special handling: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for such a signal to switch off.
7. Changes to this policy
This page is updated whenever what we store changes. The date at the top tells you when that last happened. See also the Privacy Policy for what we do with information you send us deliberately.
